We had a request from customer we have in Moscow to urgently ship a model car to Moscow in time for a special occasion.
This is a limited edition scale model of the Mercedes Benz Sterling Moss used to win the Mille Miglia, signed by Sterling himself.
We opened up especially at 21.30 Friday evening so the car could be delivered into us.
We worked over the weekend to remove the battery and drain, flush and purge the fuel system so that the car would not be considered hazardous for shipment by airfreight. If we had not done this the extra paperwork etc to ship as hazardous meant we could not have met the required deadline.
The car was then packed on Monday and rushed to the airport. Special arrangements were made with Aeroflot to deliver direct to them , go through security to make the deadline for the flight. Hopefully arriving in Moscow in time.
Mystery is we don’t know the special occasion or even who the car was for in Moscow. We were just told they were VERY IMPORTANT. Important enough that Aeroflot made room for the shipment.

This is a replica Porsche 550 Spyder that one of our customers had built and then sold to a private individual. We had to design and build a specialised pallet for the safe transport of it to arrive in Portugal. We also had to create a small ramp in order to get the car onto the pallet without starting the engine. It took all of the team to push it on!
