Gloucester Freight Latest News

I have details of another case study this month – a book-case study in fact!

We were recently asked to package up this antique mahogany bookcase and ship it to America. No problem, we thought, but the customer wanted it shipped by air freight and that carries a height restriction.

So out came the tape measure and we discovered the unit was too tall. Still no problem, though, as we discussed the matter with the customer and they agreed we could split it into two sections to ship as separate crates. It actually worked out more cost effective that way.

But what about the glass front? Could we adequately protect it in transit? Guess what – it wasn’t a problem! We packed foam and other protective materials around it to make it safe to move.

The final packaged size came in at comfortably under the 178cms limit.

This chapter ends with yet another satisfied customer.
